  • Our team is open to all students of Viewmont High School and Jr. High students that are within the boundaries of Viewmonth High School.

    ​Students are not required to have any previous riding experience but are expected to show up, ride, and have fun!

    There are no tryouts, there is no bench... everyone is included and everyone races!

  • The MTB season runs from May to October with a pre-season parent/student meeting on February 16th in the VHS Cafeteria at 7:00pm. We will begin practices in May that will continue throughout the summer. Summer practices are generally scheduled in the morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the time moving to the evening once school starts.

    Throughout the season, there are scheduled races that will take place on Saturdays (see Calendar for more details). Attendance at these races are considered mandatory unless otherwise arranged with one of the head coaches.

    It is required that all parents and students utilize the TeamSnap app for regular communication regarding practices, events and races.

    To give our athletes a diverse training experience, our team practices at various locations ranging anywhere from 5-45 miles away. Riders are expected to attend all scheduled practices and show dedicated effort.

    We expect commitment, responsibility, and respect from our riders and their parents. If a student-athlete has another commitment that precludes them from attending practice, other makeup arrangements can be made in advance with a coach.

  • A positive attitude

    A maintained and functioning cross country mountain bike

    Safety gear (helmet, gloves, eye protection)

    Bike maintenance supplies (tubes, hand pump, patch kit, tire levers)

  • The team fee* for the season is $150 for all participants and is due by, March 6th. The price includes, food for the races, team equipment and supplies, and bike shop discounts.

    Each student will be required to have a matching team jersey, helmet, black-out shorts, and black socks for races which are not included in the team fee. Specific helmets are required for all first year rides. Contact a coach for details.

    The NICA/Utah High School League Fee’s total around $300 for high school riders and $250 for Jr. Devo’s, and the deadline is June 1st. Those fees are to be paid through PitZone.

  • Our organization will not run without your support. We are always in need of parent volunteers in every aspect of what we do! If you have any specific talents or interests, please let us know! This is an ALL HANDS ON DECK sport and we couldn’t do what we do without you!

    In addition to time, we also need parents to:

    Communicate with coaching staff regarding pertinent issues ie. sick, missing practice, making up rides, leaving race early for approved reason, etc.

    Read and respond to emails and TeamSnap notifications
